Mozambique Visa

An application for a new Mozambican passport will require completion of an application and payment of fees. For further details and other travel related information, contact the consular section of the Mozambican embassy or the Mozambican consulate nearest to you.

Required supporting documents might include and are not limited to any of the following:

• Birth certificate
• Certificates of identity
• Proof of citizenship
• Passport-size photographs
• Self addressed stamped envelope

Entry Requirements : For US citizen only.

A visa is required and must be obtained in advance. Travelers arriving without a visa will not be allowed to enter and will be turned away at the port of entry. Mozambican authorities impose a fine of $100 U.S. per day for each day that travelers overstay the period of validity of their visas. These fines can be paid in local currency based on the current exchange rate.

In an effort to prevent international child abduction, many governments have initiated procedures at entry/exit points. These often include requiring documentary evidence of relationship and permission for the child's travel from the parent(s) or legal guardian not present. Having such documentation on hand, even if not required, may facilitate entry/departure

Passport Requirement for Mozambique :

Passport valid for a minimum of six months beyond intended date of departure required by all.
