A valid passport is required for all visitors to enter the Christmas Island. You have to show passport upon check-in at the Honolulu airport and prior to departure for Kiribati.

A passport that is valid for six months is required for all visitors to Christmas Island. If your passport expires before then, please renew it right away. Present your passport upon check-in at the airport in Honolulu.
