New Passport

• Issuance of a new Bahraini passport requires:
  • A letter from applicant addressed to the Ambassador requesting issuance of a new passport, include the old passport.
  • A completed application form.
  • Three (3) passport size photos ( white background, 1.5" x 2.5",) attached to the signed application form.
  • US$27 cash fee
  • Send passport, all documents and a self-addressed stamped envelope, to the Embassy by FedEx, DHL, UPS, Express or Priority Mail.

• Issuance of a new Bahraini passport for a child requires:
  • A letter from both parents of the child addressed to the Ambassador requesting issuance of a new passport.
  • A completed application form.
  • Three (3) passport size photos ( white background, 1.5" x 2.5") attached to the signed application form.
  • US$27 cash fee
  • A copy of both parent's passports.
  • An authenticated copy of the parents' marriage certificate.
  • The original or authenticated birth certificate.
  • Send all documents and a self-addressed stamped envelope to the Embassy through the US Postal Service (Express or Priority Mail). If you choose to use another service for the return of your documents, such as FedEx or DHL, please make sure that your name and address appears in BOTH the Sender and Recipient fields of the prepaid airwaybill .

Replacement of a lost or stolen passport requires

• A letter from applicant addressed to the Ambassador requesting a replacement of the lost/stolen passport.
• A completed application form.
• Three (3) passport size photos ( white background, 1.5" x 2.5") attached to the signed application form.
• A police report of the loss or theft of the passport
• A copy of the previous passport, if available
• US$300 cash fee
• Send all documents and a self-addressed stamped envelope, to the Embassy by FedEx, DHL, UPS, Express or Priority Mail. .

Passport Renewal

Renewal of a Bahraini passport requires:

• The applicant's passport
• A letter from the applicant addressed to the Ambassador requesting passport renewal.
• Completed application form.
• Three (3) passport size photos ( white background, 1.5" x 2.5") attached to the signed application form.
• US$30 fee (cash only)
• Send all documents and a self-addressed stamped envelope to the Embassy through the US Postal Service (Express or Priority Mail). If you choose to use another service for the return of your documents, such as FedEx or DHL, please make sure that your name and address appears in BOTH the Sender and Recipient fields of the prepaid airwaybill .

Note:

Addition of a child on parent's passport

• Under the new law, children will no longer be added to a parent's passport.
• Each child must have his/her own passport.
